School Plant Room Clean and Netting Installation, Milton Keynes

Integrated Bird Management carried out a full clean and disinfection of a sunken plant area at a school in Milton Keynes. Pigeons had been accessing the area and the build-up of droppings had created a significant health and safety risk for site staff and contractors working in and around the space.

Following the clean, we installed 50mm pigeon netting to fully exclude pigeons from the area, preventing any future fouling and removing the ongoing risk to anyone needing to access the site.

Distribution Centre, Bedford

Two Avix Autonomic Mark II laser systems were installed at a newly renovated distribution building in Bedford to protect the roof from corvid damage. Corvids are known to peck at roof sealants, which can lead to leaks and costly repair work – a particular concern for a building that had just undergone significant renovation.

The automated laser systems provide continuous deterrence across the roof without the need for physical proofing, making this the most cost-effective solution available to the client and helping to protect their investment in the building long term.

Grain Processing Facility, Dartford

Integrated Bird Management installed an Avix Autonomic Mark II laser system at a large grain processing facility in Dartford to deter pigeons from the site. The scale of the facility made traditional bird control methods such as netting impractical, as the sheer size of the area would make installation and maintenance both difficult and costly.

The automated laser system provides continuous 24/7 deterrence across the entire site without the need for physical intervention, making it a practical and cost-effective solution for large-scale facilities of this kind.

Gull Deterrence for Car Importer, Grimsby

Working with a car importer in Grimsby where large numbers of gulls were causing significant problems across the storage site. Imported vehicles can sit on site for days or months at a time, and gull fouling was damaging paintwork and creating costly cleaning requirements before the cars could be moved on.

The scale of the problem extended beyond the storage yard, with gull nesting and fouling causing serious contamination across the site’s rooftop plant areas, requiring a full professional clean and disinfection before any deterrence work could begin.

To tackle the problem, we installed an Avix Autonomic Mark II laser system alongside a Scarecrow 180 bio-acoustic unit, and carry out regular falconry visits to reinforce deterrence across the site. The combination of automated, acoustic, and active methods helps maintain pressure on the gull population without them becoming accustomed to any single deterrent.

This is an ongoing trial and we will be sharing more results as the project develops.

Swindon Laser Bird Control for Facilities Management Company

Integrated Bird Management was appointed by a facilities management company in Swindon to resolve ongoing gull nesting issues on a large pitched roof site. Traditional bird netting was not a viable option due to the lack of fixing points and restricted roof access, so we installed an Avix Autonomic laser bird control system. This innovative technology provides safe, effective and continuous deterrence, protecting the building from gull activity while reducing logistical challenges and long-term maintenance costs for the client.

West London

We supported our pest control partner, Advanced Bird and Pest Control, to install 2x lasers to a site in West London. This is the 3rd laser they have had installed across this industrial complex to deter pest birds and is a more cost effective option than netting.

Vineyard / Home in Winchester

Installed for a brand new home and vineyard near Winchester, and shows where we have installed both a laser to protect the roof and deter birds from the vineyard. We have also installed netting to the yard store area where pigeons were nesting to deny them access. Both solutions offer a humane method of control, encouraging the birds to roost / nest away from where they are in conflict with humans.

Professional bird netting installation on commercial property canopy structure

Pigeon Netting Installation – Construction Site, Barking

We recently completed a canopy netting installation for a construction company in Barking. The project involved reinstating an old netting system that had deteriorated over time, leaving the canopy vulnerable to pigeon roosting and nesting. Our team installed high-quality bird netting to fully enclose the area, preventing pigeons from accessing potential nesting sites while maintaining the structure’s functionality. The installation was completed efficiently with minimal disruption to site operations, restoring effective bird control and protecting the space from contamination and damage caused by pigeon activity.
